Coding is a family thing. It all started with my Dad, a Perl programmer. I grew up with a hacked television, command line skills, and logic problems at the dinner table. My kids are into Scratch and Scratch Jr.
Hobby turned to full-time craft when I joined The Iron Yard's intensive Ruby on Rails coding bootcamp. For three months, everything else took a back seat: my job, my friends, even my family. All to satisfy my need to code. Was it worth it? Yes!
I get giddy when I walk into the library. Don't get me started on the book store. Favorite Books: Freakonomics, Harry Potter, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.
Coder: A subspecies of Homo Sapien that, when given a logic problem, will forget to sleep and eat.
